Tarragona Tapas Festival
Tarragona Tapas Festival-D’Tapes
Festival Date: 23-04-2015
For 2 weeks every year Tarragona becomes the tapas capital of Catalan. Many of the city’s numerous restaurants take part in what can only be described as a fiesta of gastronomy. The tapas they offer are made from only the best local produce and have to be tasted to be believed.
By the way the Mediterreanean Diet, as well as the Catalan Human Castles and the Roman City of Tarraco in Tarragona are UNESCO Heritage items – you can find out about them and other UNESCO sites of Catalonia by clicking on UNESCO Heritage in Catalonia

A New York Times critic, Florence Fabricant, said this about Tarragona: “We left Tarragona feeling as though we had been let in on a wonderful secret that told not only of the reach of ancient Rome, but of other historic periods, layered within and around the city. And that the secret was meant to be shared.”
