From the 10th to the 26th of October, you can sample the typical Romesco of Tarragona. A number of restaurants participate in these gastronomic days, and the tastings may include the sauce itself, but of course it is used in a variety of ways. It is said that this sauce was created by the fishermen of Tarragona to complement fish dishes. But, if like me, you’re a lover of this sauce, you’ll find a huge amount of ways to use it well.
So why not treat yourself to the culinary delights of Romesco, in its various guises, in Tarragona. Choose from various tastings and menus, and various versions of this traditional red pepper based sauce. This is one recipe you will want to try and recreate when you get home.
